Well, this makes it sound like the cd that comes with the final retail version will have some data that is needed in order to start the game. I'm glad that the start up procedure was delineated as well. Be cool, Loviatar; you may like the Divine Aura's effect more than you know as yet.

I had always wondered if we'd be playing in the areas that had been in the BWE's for the early release, or if we'd get something from the cd for the full release. I hope you're right and that it's ALL streamed to us during the early release.

well i dont think they will stream "all" of it to you during the preview event, because not all content is streamed. you are only streamed the content neccessary for you at that point. IE if you stay in presearing the whole event i dont think the entire game will be streamed to you. I believe this is part of their technique to keep down the lag. you only download the areas around your current location instead of downloading the whole 800mb or what ever in one shot.

You are correct. You receive what you need, when you need it, and don't find yourself with the infamous 80 MB Starting Patch of Doooom!

Okay, maybe silly, but quick question about the CD installer. If you've already got the beta install, I assume the CD installer works like the online streaming tech and it will intelligently only add what you're missing to the existing install (which will no doubt then be updated even more online...) instead of having to do an entirely fresh install?
